Overview of Energy Efficiency Trends for the EU-25 and New member Countries by sector: sectoral profiles

A first synthesis of the energy efficiency trends by sector for the 10 New EU Member Countries and Bulgaria is now available on the ODYSSEE web site. This synthesis compares trends for the EU-10, EU-15 and as a whole. To see the sectoral profiles click here





Final workshop


ECS, The Energy Charter Secretariat has organised within its PEEREA workshop a half-day seminar devoted to the presentation of the preliminary results of the project on EEE-NMC. This project aimed at expanding the ODYSSEE energy efficiency indicators and the MURE database to EU New Member Countries (NMC’s). The project will be concluded with two syntheses, one on energy efficiency trends and one on policy measures. It also includes a pilot case study on Hungary and the Czech Republic to simulate the impact of energy efficiency policy measures in terms of energy savings, with the MURE model. During the workshop, each country made a short presentation on energy efficiency trends and policies in a given sector.
